The Cardiff and County Club was founded in 1866. The present building was opened in 1892 and is now listed as a historic building, representative as it is of late Victorian opulence. The first President was a Cardiff solicitor whose great-grandson is currently a Trustee of the Club.
The Club has necessarily had a close relationship with its immediate neighbour, the Cardiff Arms Park, and more recently the Millennium Stadium, and is never more fully used than on a Rugby International days.
Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket, closed collar and tie from Monday to Thursday from 10.30 am onwards. Before 10.30 am each day and also on Fridays and weekends, whilst jackets must be worn, no tie is required provided that only the top button of the collared shirt may be undone. Ladies should wear smart attire.
Denim, sport tops, shorts and trainers may not be worn at any time in the Clubhouse except in the Jubilee Suite where no formal dress code applies.
The Club is open from Monday to Friday from 11 am to 7 pm and on Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm. Additionally, the Club is open for special events in the evening.

Based in the heart of the City, ideally positioned, just a 5 minutes walk from Bank and Liverpool Street stations and close to many other transport links, is the City of London Club.
According to its first members, the Club offered ‘a Place of Useful Resort’ to those of ‘known respectability’ in the City. Since 1832, important City figures such as the first Duke of Wellington, Sir Robert Peel and the original Rothschild family have used the Club to relax in good company and comfortable, elegant surroundings.

The City University Club (CUC) is a lunch club in the heart of the financial area of London. It is the ideal place for lunch or simply a drink at the bar. The Club offers a first-class meal in discreet circumstances for a modest price.
The (CUC) is now in new premises from end January 2018. The club was originally established in 1895 by Oxbridge graduates who wanted a lunch club in the City. The link with the universities remains, but membership is now much wider, embracing both sexes and many professions.
Members joining the Club find the atmosphere equally conducive to lunching with friends or on their own at the club tables. The food is first-class; the wine-list comprehensive and the service excellent. The Club is open for lunch Monday to Friday throughout the year, closing only between Christmas and the New Year. Restaurant and bar meals available during lunchtime and evenings. Licensed for weddings. The dress code throughout the club is smart casual: no trainers or jeans, except for formal dining, including Sunday lunch, when jacket and tie are required for men and equivalent attire for women.

The Clifton Club is Bristol’s oldest existing private members club. Its aim has always been to appeal to the professional, the influential, the entrepreneurial and the interesting – those people who want a relaxed but exclusive environment with excellent social and networking opportunities.
The Club is extremely proud of its rich heritage and fascinating history. It witnessed the building of the world’s first suspension bridge, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, over the nearby Avon Gorge, was responsible for the formation of the renowned Clifton College, introduced a telegram machine in 1856 and a telephone in 1884, counted the cricketer WG Grace as a member in the early 1900s and spent a short time as accommodation for officers of the Royal Flying Corps towards the end of the First World War.
Nowadays it is a truly cosmopolitan environment that welcomes men and women. All members are invited to partake in various and regular social activities that take place within the serene setting. The Club boasts a suite of historic rooms including the Dining Room, Drawing Room and Bar, Centenary Room and Bridge Room. Founded in 1818, Leander Club boasts an unsurpassed record in rowing achievements. It is home to heroes such as Sir Steve Redgrave and Sir Matthew Pinsent, double gold medallists James Cracknell, Steve Williams and Pete Reed, and the champions of tomorrow.
Leander is a private members’ club but welcomes corporate clients and bookings for events from non-Members. The dress code throughout the clubhouse is defined as ’smart casual’. Smart jeans are acceptable but not sportswear or trainers. The guideline for gentlemen is a collared shirt. Gentlemen are not required to wear a tie unless if it specified for a particular event, but many members opt to wear a jacket and tie in the Dining Room.

Opened in 1876, the Manchester Tennis and Racquet Club plays host to much sporting activity, including Real Tennis, Rackets, Squash and Skittles. On the social side, there is a members’ lounge and dining room that is available for lunch, functions and meetings. No accommodation can be provided.
Lunch is served Monday to Friday 12-3 pm; visitors are requested to book prior to the day and a letter of introduction from your Club Secretary will be required. All accounts must be settled before departure.

Founded in 1882 by Gladstone, the Club exists to provide the very best club facilities for relaxing and entertaining in the heart of London, for members whose interests vary from liberal politics to the liberal arts. It was one of London’s first major gentlemen’s clubs to admit women as full members.
Overlooking the Thames, with “the most splendid terrace in London”, the club is within easy reach of Whitehall, the West End, the City and Theatreland. The Club is blessed with an extraordinary building by noted Victorian architect Alfred Waterhouse, and is also conveniently situated for underground and mainline stations which are close by.

The recently re-furbished sitting room is a quiet haven for morning coffee and a read of the morning papers. For private family dinners or celebrations, it can also be configured as a dining room providing seating for up to 12 people. A variety of menus is available.
Coffee drinks and bar lunches can be enjoyed in the lounge; a comfortable and convivial meeting place for members and their guests, at any time of the day.
The library is a historic room, situated on the first floor. The traditional library and reading room have period furniture and a vast collection of books. This room is an ideal setting for holding smaller meetings for around 10-12 people.
On those lovely summer evenings, the outdoor terrace comes into its own. Whether it is just a drink and snack, or for one of Chef’s special barbecue events, it is always popular.

The Norfolk Club is a private members club based in the heart of Norfolk, founded on 6th July 1770. It is the third oldest Club in the UK and one of the last remaining county clubs of its kind. The Club is situated in the centre of Norwich, between the Cathedral and the Castle and only a short distance from the railway station.
The Club occupies a fine Grade 2 listed Georgian townhouse and was extended with a dining room and billiards room by the members in 1887. The Club has 6 bedrooms and in 2018 opened a Gymnasium in its 30s squash court.

The Nottingham Club is a private members’ club for men and women of the professional and business community. The St James’s Club is a social club rather than one with a specific political, sporting, or cultural purpose although it has Members with these interests. It has a long and proud history and can trace its roots back to the start of the nineteenth century where it offered conversation and good company to Members involved in business and the professions; that purpose continues in the Club to this day.
The Club is situated at the heart of the Manchester city centre at the top of King Street in a grade II listed building. The Graduate Club and the Quinnipiack Club were city traditions in New Haven dating back to the 1800s. The Graduate Club was the premiere social club and the Quinnipiack Club was a business networking club.

Established in 1894, the Melbourne Savage Club is one of Australia’s oldest private members’ clubs.
The club’s name reflects the desire of the founders to encourage the flowering of the Bohemian tradition in Melbourne, by taking the name of Richard Savage, an eccentric and free-spirited 17th century English poet.

The Pretoria Country Club is renowned for being the quality, sports and social venue in Pretoria. Set in the magnificent surrounds of Waterkloof, the Country Club boasts a par 72, ‘parklands’ golf course, designed by the Gary Player group and in the top 50 courses in the country.
Squash facilities comprise six of the best courts, two of which are fitted with glass backs.
The six high-quality all-weather tennis courts are situated next to the Club’s beautiful lake and are surrounded by lawns, flower beds and trees. Two floodlit courts provide the opportunity to play tennis after sunset.

Old-school charm, a grand façade and unique décor: Rand Club encapsulates the feeling of a bygone era. Situated in central Johannesburg, a few blocks off the M2 highway.
The exterior of the present Club House has changed very little over the years and is very much as it is was in 1904. The whole club has been given a complete refurbishment following the fire of June 2005 and some would say that the club has never looked as good as it does now.
Air-conditioned bedrooms. Accommodation charges include full English breakfast. Restaurant, private dining rooms, library, billiards and hairdresser. Jacket and tie necessary on weekdays, dresses or skirts for women.
