Simon was Secretary of the Hawks’ Club in 1971-72 and Chairman of the London Dinner Committee in 2005. He retired from Harrow School in 2013, where he had been a House Master and taught French and Italian for 40 years. Unable to hang up his gown for good, he now works as an educational consultant. Simon won Blues at rugby, squash and rugby fives, playing Crusaders cricket and college tennis in the summer. Golf at Denham and a gentle daily swim are now his sporting pursuits.
